I burned out at 29.
And it was the best thing that ever happened to me…
I’m Carly. Registered Dietitian, holistic health coach, and my own first client.
My story
I’m a dietitian who spent years ignoring everything my own body was trying to tell me. Turns out, that’s exactly what makes me good at this.
I grew up as the only girl with two older brothers; and without realizing it, I learned early that the way to earn your place was to keep up. Push harder. Do more. And definitely don’t cry.
Then I entered a world that validated everything I’d already learned: that productivity was the goal, discipline was the answer, and if something wasn’t working, you just hadn’t tried hard enough yet. Sound familiar?
So that’s what I did. I hustled my way through life — and for a long time, it worked…
Until it didn’t.
By 28, I had built a life that looked great from the outside. But inside? I was running on fumes and controlled by anxiety that wouldn’t quit. I existed in a state of chronic stress for so long that it literally depleted my progesterone to menopausal levels…at 29 years old.
Digestive issues followed shortly after, along with a full blown addiction to adrenaline that I kept mistaking for “motivation.” My body was sending me every signal it had, and I had been too conditioned to push through to hear any of them.
I was a textbook case of Rushing Woman’s Syndrome. And I had no idea. Because everything I was doing? It was working…until it wasn’t.
Because here’s what nobody told me in grad school (and the thing that most women never hear):
You cannot discipline your way out of hormonal imbalances.
You cannot supplement your way out of chronic stress.
You cannot logic your way into a new chapter.
And no amount of doing everything “right” will fix a life that’s working against your biology.
In 2020, I went off birth control, and something unexpected happened.
My body started coming back online. I started recognizing feelings, emotions, and patterns. And the more I paid attention, the more she talked back.
The exhaustion, the digestive issues, the anxiety — they weren’t random. They were communication. And for the first time in my life, I stopped trying to override the signals…and started listening to them.
I realized that my body wasn’t the problem, my approach was. I had been following a rulebook that was never designed for me.
I didn’t need more discipline, I needed a different framework. A female framework. One that actually accounts for hormones, rhythm, and the fact that our needs change every singe week. I learned that my cycle wasn’t an inconvenience to manage. It was a compass.
And once I started following it, life got better.
I had more energy, by doing less. More consistency, without forcing it. More momentum, without burning out. And most important of all, I learned the superpowers that exist when you embrace what it means to be a woman.
For the first time in my life, I was working with my body instead of constantly fighting it.
Who I am now.
So why was burning out at 29 the best thing that ever happened to me? Because it broke the only framework I’d ever known, and forced me to build one that actually worked. For my body. For my hormones. For my life.
I’m Carly, a Registered Dietitian and holistic health coach for women. But more than that? I’m my own first client.
Everything I teach, I’ve lived. The burnout, the hormonal imbalances, reinventing myself. I didn’t find this framework in a textbook. I found it in my own body, and then spent years backing it up with science, research, and my formal training.
Now I help women do the same.
I work with women who are done being handed rules that were never designed for them. Women who are smart, driven, and capable, but exhausted from trying to force themselves into a system that doesn’t fit.
Women who don’t need more discipline, they need The Female Framework.
It’s time to stop fighting your body, and start leading with it.
